Botulinum Injections · October 2, 2009
It is rare to find someone that does not like the effects of Sydney Botulinum Injections when it is done well. Where the lines of the face are softened, but the ability to express emotion is still open.
What people are most concerned about often is the price. It is a question that comes up usually very early on in the consultation at my practice. How much does Sydney Botulinum Injections cost in Sydney?
The cost varies between doctor to doctor. Sometimes it depends on the area treated. Even the suburb that you are treated sometimes defines the cost.
The cost usually varies from $200-500 per area treated in Sydney. By an ‘area treated’ we are referring to an ‘aesthetic area’. For example- the ‘crows’s feet’ would be one area. So a full face treatment covering three areas would be from $600.
I would usually recommend that a patient ask their doctor for cost ‘per unit’ Sydney Botulinum Injections. At Star Cosmetic Medicine we charge $12.50/unit. This is a far more fair way of paying for Sydney Botulinum Injections as you only pay for what you use. Your best friend may need 20 units for the forehead. You only may need 8. It would be unfair for you to be paying the same amount as your friend.
Be wary of places that charge suspiciously low cost for an area treated. A small vial of Sydney Botulinum Injections costs the doctor many hundreds of dollars. It would not make sense for it to be sold for less than the doctor’s cost.
Such a place may only be using very small ‘unit’ amounts so the dose of Sydney Botulinum Injections you receive is very low. Ultimately the result will be sub-optimal.
I have seen many patients who have come to my Sydney practice saying that they have been told they are ‘immune’ to Sydney Botulinum Injections. This is often after they have spent suspiciously low amounts (but still in the hundreds of dollars) on Sydney Botulinum Injections in another practice or in a salon. I would respectfully ask if I could try using the same Sydney Botulinum Injections in what would be appropriate doses. Without fail- everyone responds to Sydney Botulinum Injections. All that is important is the right dose.
Price is often higher in the Eastern suburbs. The higher the qualifications of the practitioner and experience, the higher of often the price. It is not just the cost of the Sydney Botulinum Injections you are paying for but for the skill of the doctor/nurse giving it. You are changing your appearance for many months so it is best to have someone competent in this area.
A recent phenomena is the ‘Sydney Botulinum Injections Party’ where several people come in an informal gathering to have Sydney Botulinum Injections treatments. The cost here is often a little less as several people are treated in a small space of time. But there are concerns that this format (often in a person’s private home) may not be the best for what is essentially a medical procedure. Especially if there is alcohol involved.
At $12.50/unit- the cost of treatment in a face area is about $200. Inexpensive it is not. But for results that last at least 3 months- it works out at about $2.20 per day. Less than a cup of coffee and far more beneficial to appearance than a dose of caffeine…
