Sydney’s Leading Cosmetic Physician looks to the STARS: Dr Mazza

Anti Wrinkle Injections   ·   November 4, 2009

Questions that are constantly on the lips of gossip columnists around the world are celebrities and cosmetic surgery. Who has done what and where?

Australia’s premier cosmetic physician Dr. Mazza of Star Cosmetic Medicine this week weigh’s in on the subject, and expels the myths about some of the worlds hottest stars.

If done well, most Cosmetic Medicine treatments are in harmony with the face and look ‘natural’. Only if done out of harmony do the results seem ‘artificial’- a look that most cosmetic doctors go to pains to avoid.

“An experienced eye can often tell if a treatment has been performed. In this vein, I have made an assessment of the following familiar faces.” says Dr. Mazza.

Nicole Kidman: “At age 42 and in my personal opinion one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood Nicole has become somewhat an unwitting poster-girl for Sydney Wrinkle Injection. This is despite claiming never to have had treatment. Some people would claim that her forehead that as one celebrity described it ‘looks like a flat panel TV’, certainly looks very, very relaxed and I also suspect that she may have had ‘Vitamin B injections’ occasionally.

For a lady Nicole has a very prominent forehead, so any relaxation or over-relaxation is exaggerated. As a professional I would suggest only minimal Sydney Wrinkle Injection so as to have a more ‘natural’ movement to her face and not give her such a dead pan look at all times. Her hair stylist may also consider introducing her to a haircut with a more straight fringe as opposed to a longer fringe which would give her the appearance of a lower forehead.

Nicole has clearly had skin ‘bleaching’ treatments since her more freckle-filled days of BMX Bandits. This may have been done by IPL or Laser treatments.

As we all do when we age – Nicole’s top eye lids have become relatively heavy. Ironically over use of Sydney Wrinkle Injection to the forehead can contribute to this. However, to treat this problem, strategic use of Sydney Wrinkle Injection can fix the problem area. By relaxing the muscles that pull down the corners of the brow, her doctor can create a ‘Sydney Wrinkle Injection Lift’. If the heaviness is very pronounced, I would recommend a surgical eye lift – a blephaloplasy can be considered.

Compared to earlier photos Nicole may also have had rhinoplasty (a nose job) and some form of dermal filler to her lips.

Demi Moore: At age 47. Demi Moore claims to have spent a small fortune on a nutitionist, a kick-boxing coach, a personal trainer and a yoga teacher, she has definitely also spent an even larger fortune with cosmetic surgery.

Although she denies any surgery! If this is so, we need to bottle Demi’s genetic make up as she must be extremely genetically blessed.

Demi has almost certainly had some Sydney Wrinkle Injection help which is evident by the lack of movement around the forehead area and by the fine lines around the eyes.

Rob Lowe: At age 45 and by comparing his more recent photos to his early career pictures his jawline is far more prominent, raising the possibility of a chin implant.

Some of Rob Lowes fans complain his face looks too ‘tight’. This may be due to a face lift or sometimes from the overuse of some ‘resurfacing lasers’ such as Fraxel.

When looking at photographs of Lowe and taking into account his age, he seems to have moderate forehead lines and crows feet. I would suggest a little Sydney Wrinkle Injection to these areas would soften these while still looking natural. But then if Rob has really had chin implants a little Sydney Wrinkle Injection wouldn’t be to far a stretch.

Angelina Jolie: At age 34 Angelina is always the belle of the ball.

One of her most striking features is her lips. Strong lip border. Sensuous Cupid’s Bow. And a full pouty lower lip with two distinct ‘cushions’ that mirror her Cupid’s Bow above.

Angelina’s lips are mostly if not all natural. However, I would say that she would have them slightly tweaked every now and then.

Angelina’s lips would have to be the most popular in the world with many women asking for lips enhancements to look similar to Angelina. The strong border and projection can be enhanced with most lips using a dermal filler. Some dermal fillers are specific for discrete projection- others for a more ‘soft’ fullness.

The degree of lip fullness that is suitable depends on the rest of the face. As a general rule if the lady’s face has a strong jaw and/or cheek bones than the more her lips can accommodate fullness. A delicate, petite face with a small jaw-line may not suit Angelinaesque lips.

Mrs Jolie’s face is very oval. Cross culturally we see this as the most ideal face profile. When changing the contour of the face- for example with a deep dermal filler to the cheek bones and mid face- a Cosmetic Physician will often try to do the same.

Like her husband Brad Pitt, Angelina’s face is quite symmetrical. Hollywood has known for some time that the more symmetrical a face is, usually the more attractive it is.

Physical appearance- for good and bad is important to most of us. To actors and celebrities it is their bread and butter. So the upkeep of the face that they present to the world is very important.

Cosmetic Medicine has a role to play in the grooming regimes of most of these identities. If done well, it should look ‘fresh’ and in harmony with their own features. The same results you should expect if you see your own Cosmetic Doctor…
